White Lobia Masal Vada

White Lobia Masal Vada is a healthy snacks recipe. It is one of the best and healthy vada recipe. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are cleaned and soaked white lobia (soak for 10 to 12 hours), freshly chopped onions, chopped curry leaves, freshly chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, ginger chopped, garlic cloves, fresh green chilies, salt as per taste, oil for deep frying. For extra taste even we can add in freshly chopped dill leaves, some cashew nuts.

White Lobia Masala Vada

Lobia is also known as black eyed beans or cowpeas. It is a type of beans. White Lobia and red Lobia are two variety of lobias which are available in the market. Lobia is rich protein and fiber. Black eyed beans helps in weight loss, helps tom promote digestive health. Black eyed beans are very versatile and can be added to a variety of recipes, including gravies, curries, soups, stews, vadas and salads. Before using black eyed beans in gravies or any other recipe it is better to soak (soak for at least 5 to 10 hours or overnight) and cook them (pressure cook for 3 whistles).

White Lobia Masala Vada

White Lobia Masala Vada is a healthy snack recipe. It is a protein rich snack recipe.

  • ¼ Kg Soaked White Lobia
  • 1 Big Onion chopped
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 6 Green Chili
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • 1 Cloves, cardamom, cinnamom
  • Few Curry leaves
  • ¼ cup Coriander leaves
  • ¼ cup Mint leaves
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • Oil (As needed)
  1. Soak the white lobia for 10 to 12 hours or overnight.

  2. Take a mixer jar and add in soaked white lobia, cloves, cardamom, cinnamom sticks, green chilies, ginger garlic. Grind coarsely.

  3. Take a bowl and add in chopped onions, grounded paste, chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves.

  4. Add in salt as per taste.

  5. Grease hands with oil or water, make small balls and pat them.

  6. Deep fry them both the sides in low flame till golden brown.

  7. Now the healthy white lobia vada is ready to serve.

Soak White Lobia for 10 to 12 hours or overnight
Take a mixer jar and add in soaked white lobia, green chilies, cinnamom, cardamom, cloves, ginger and garlic.
Take a bowl and add in chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, curry leaves, salt as per taste. Give a mix.
Take a pan and add in oil as required. Grease your hand with little oil or water, make small balls, pat them and deep fry them in low flame both the sides.
Healthy and tasty white lobia vada is ready to serve.
