Drum Stick leaves side dish or poriyal or palya is a healthy side dish recipe, it goes well with samber rice, rasam rice, and even we can have it with chapati too.

  • 1 Big Bunch of drum stick leaves
  • ¼ cup Toor dal
  • 1 Large chopped onions
  • ⅛ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Channa dal
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 3 Dry chilies
  • ¼ cup Grated Coconuts
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • Water (As required)
  1. Take a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, channa and urad dal, dry chilies, curry leaves and salt as per taste.

  2. Add in toor dal, and cook till 3/4th of the toor dal is cooked.

  3. Add in fresh drum stick leaves and grated coconuts.
