CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE FROSTING | HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE CAKE
Who doesn’t like Chocolate Cake? It was my dream to bake the cake. That Chocolate cake is my all-time favorite cake with chocolate frosting. It is a moist, delicious, super soft cake recipe. Hope you all like it.
INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour: is also known as Palin Flour or Maida. So, instead of all purpose flour you can use wheat flour, almond flour for baking.
Butter and Oil: You can use butter or oil. Adding butter gives a cake a good structure, superior flavor and taste to the cake, whereas vegetable oil in cake adds moist and tenderness. Oil is lighter than oil
Powdered Sugar: It adds sweetness and flavor to the, and also keeps baked goods moist and soft. The best substitute for sugar is brown sugar, jaggery, coconut palm sugar, liquid sweeteners are honey, maple.
Eggs: It provides leavening, binding, texture, flavor and moisture. There are other alternatives for eggs such as yogurt, buttermilk, vinegar, banana, condensed milk etc.,
Baking Soda and Baking Powder: Both are leavening agents that helps the cake batter to rise when baked.
Salt: Adding a pinch of salt in cake is to enhance the flavor of other ingredients.
Water or Milk: Further adding milk in cake gives a color, flavor to baked recipes. Substitute for milk is water, coconut milk, almond milk, yogurt and water.
Cocoa Powder: It gives a rich chocolate flavor and dark color to the cake. Further, it is used in cakes, cookies, brownies and bread. Best alternatives are chocolate chips etc.,
Coffee Powder: It gives nice flavor and color to the cake.
Sprinklers: There are different variety of sprinklers available in market. It is used to decorate cake.
Desiccated Coconut (optional): It gives additional flavor to the cake.
Grated Chocolate: Gives nice texture, flavor and taste to the cake.
TO GET A PERFECT AND MOIST CAKES FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
It is always important to follow the recipe,
Ingredients should be in room temperature,
Use good quality ingredients not the out dated once,
Ingredients should be properly measured.
Don’t over mix the batter as it becomes tough and rubbery, instead mix slowly and gently.
Grease the cake pan with butter or oil, before baking
Further use good quality cup cake liners
Preheat the oven before baking.
While baking oven should be in right temperature.
Before unmolding the cakes, insert tooth pick or fork at the center of the cake, and if the tooth pick comes out clean then they are done.
After unmolding allow the cakes to completely cool down.
Store them in a air tight container and refrigerate it properly.
FROSTING | TOPPING
Whipped cream, Glaze, Powdered sugar, Ganache, Dark Chocolate flavor, White chocolate frosting, Cream Cheese frosting, Strawberry buttercream frosting, edible decors etc. are some of the frosting goes well with vanilla cup cakes.
Tips:
Firstly sift all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, to avoid any lumps. And then add in all the wet ingredients, just be make sure that the cake batter should not become too thin or too thick.

CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE FROSTING
Chocolate cake is a popular cake recipe. Who doesn't like chocolate cake, it is a delicious and super soft cake recipe.
- Mixing bowl
- Cake Pan
- Oven
- Spatula
- Hand beater or electric beater
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 Eggs
- ¼ cup Oil
- ½ cup Powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp Baking soda
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 cup Maida or Plain flour
FROSTING
- ½ cup Chocolate Frosting Powder
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Water

Take a mixing bowl and add 2 tbsp. butter, 2 eggs, and 2 tbsp. oil. Give a mix with a help of a beater or hand beater.

Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and give a mix.

Later add 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Give a mix.

1 tbsp. Cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp Coffee powder. Give a mix.
1 cup Maida i.e., all-purpose flour. Sieve it and give a mix without any lumps.

Grease the cake pan with butter or oil, and sprinkle a layer of Maida. Then transfer the prepared cake batter to a cake pan.

Preheat the oven for 10 minutes under 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 25 minutes. Once the cake is baked completely, unmold the cake and allow it to cool down completely.

For Frosting: take a mixing bowl and add 1/2 cup chocolate frosting powder, 2 tbsp. sugar powder, 1 tbsp. water. And then give mix with a blender till you get a stiff peak.

Beat till you get a stiff peak. Then refrigerate it for 15 to 20 minutes.

Finally, cut the cake and make a layer. Add sugar syrup and spread the prepared chocolate frosting allover the cake. Decorate it with sprinklers, Choco chips, etc.
