Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Pan or clay pot
  • 1 Mixer jar

Ingredients
  

  • 100 grams Dry fish Any dry fish of your choice
  • 1 big Sliced onions
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 1 Chopped tomato
  • cup Coconut
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • tsp Pepper powder
  • tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Instructions
 

  • Firstly clean the dry fish and soak it in warm water for 2 minutes and keep it aside.
  • Heat a pan and add in oil, crushed garlic. Saute till the garlic becomes brown.
  • Then add in sliced onions, green chilies, tomatoes, tamarind. Saute till the ingredients becomes soft.
  • Transfer it to a mixer jar and Grind it into a smooth paste.
  • Now add in the grounded paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt to taste. Close the lid and cook till the raw smell goes away.
  • Then add in coconut paste, give a mix and allow it to boil.
  • Add in pepper powder and give a mix.
  • Then add in dry fish and cook for 5 to 7 minutes and then switch off the flame.
  • Finally the dry fish curry is ready to serve.
