White Channa Cutlet

White Channa Cutlet is a protein rich, healthy and super tasty snack recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. It is made with soaked kabuli channa or white channa, spices, vegetables. It is a healthy appetizer recipe. It can be served with tomato sauce, green chutney. It is very simple and easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

Kabuli channa or white channa, green chili, garlic, salt to taste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, Oil, fresh coriander leaves, curry leaves.

Methods:

How to make White Channa Cutlet:

  1. Firstly take a mixing bowl and add in soaked white channa, onion, few curry leaves, green chilies, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, garlic.
  2. Transfer it into a mixer jar and grind it into a coarse paste.
  3. In the same mixing bowl add in coarsely grounded paste, coriander leaves, salt to taste, turmeric powder, chopped onions. Give a nice mix.
  4. Now add in bread crumbs and give a mix.
  5. Roll it into a small ball shape and keep it aside.Then heat a pan and add in oil, then flatten the rolled channa mix. Allow it cook on both the sides under low flame. If required add some more oil. Cook on both the sides.
  6. Finally the healthy and tasty Kabuli channa Cutlet is ready to serve.

  • 250 grams White Channa or Kabuli Channa
  • 1 Big onion chopped
  • ½ cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 6 to 8 Garlic pods
  • 2 to 3 Green chilies
  • Red chili powder (As per taste)
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required
