Aloo Parathas is made up of a dough rolled with a mixture of mashed potato and spices. Usually parathas are cooked on the hot tawa with butter, ghee and even with oil too. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are a boiled and mashed potatos, butter or ghee, freshly chopped coriander leaves, ginger, green chilies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper corns, salt to taste and for making dough we need wheat flour, required water and salt to taste.

Spicy Aloo Paratha or Chandigarh Aloo Paratha is a healthy and delicious potato paratha recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below.
- Pressure Cooker Or Pan
- Mixing bowl
- Tawa
- 4 Potatoes
- ½ tsp Red chili powder
- ⅛ tsp Chat masala
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala
- ½ cup Coriander leaves chopped
- Salt to taste
- Butter or ghee as required
Ground them into a paste
- 4 Green chilies
- 1 inch Ginger chopped
- Chapathi dough
For Grounding
- 2 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 7 nos. Pepper corns

Firstly prepare chapathi dough and keep it aside.

Then clean potatoes and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles. Then allow it cool down completely and peel the skin of the potatoes and keep it aside.

Then dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper corns and ground them into a fine powder.

Later heat a pan and add in little oil and roast green chilies and ginger. Then ground them into a fine paste without adding any water.

Now take a mixing bowl and add in boiled potatoes, grounded spice powder, green chili, ginger paste, chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste, red chili powder, chat masala, garam masala. Then Give a mix without any lumps.

Now take a chapathi dough and slighty roll it and place the small portion or ball size potato stuffing and bring all the sides of the dough together.

Later roll it into a flat bread. Then heat a pan and add in little butter or ghee and rolled staffed bread. Then the parathas on both the sides by applying butter or ghee generously.

Finally spicy aloo parathas are ready to serve with thick curd along with sugar and pickle.
