Peanut Sundal | How to make Peanut Usli is a healthy and tasty snack recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. Peanuts are also known as groundnut. It is very simple and easy to prepare. It is a protein rich and nutritious snack recipe. It is made with soaked and boiled peanuts. Among nuts peanuts are one of my favorite nuts, as it is very healthy and tasty. We can make variety of dishes using peanuts such as peanut chikki, peanut burfi etc, peanut butter etc.,. Peanuts are similar in taste and nutritional profile to other nuts such as walnuts, almonds etc.,.  Using peanuts we can extract peanut oil, which is often used for cooking, because it has a mild flavor and taste. Peanuts are excellent  source of many vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients:

Soaked and boiled peanuts, oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, onion, curry leaves, red chili, salt to taste. Adding grated coconut is optional.

Methods:

  1. Firstly boil the soaked peanuts. Once the peanuts are cooked, drain off the excess water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, chopped onions, curry leaves, red chili. Saute till the onions becomes soft.
  3. Then add in boiled peanuts, salt to taste and give a quick mix.
  4. Finally the healthy and tasty Peanut Sundal or Peanut Usli is ready to serve.
