These chips are deep fried, generally crispy slices of bananas. They are usually made with cooking banana/plantains or raw banana. We can make banana chips with different variations like sweet by adding sugar, honey, salt, spicy. So, homemade banana chips, can make for a healthy snacking option.

Raw banana, oil for deep frying, salt to taste, turmeric powder for color.

 

Method:

How to make Banana Chips:

  • Firstly rinse and peel the skin of the raw banana.
  • Make slices of banana.
  • Now deep fry the sliced bananas in a hot oil till it slightly changes its color or the bubbles in the oil are reduced.
  • Now take a small bowl and add in water, turmeric powder, salt and give a mix. Then keep it aside.
  • Then add in 1 to 2 tbsp of prepared salt turmeric mixture. It gives color to the chips and salt for taste.
  • Once deep fried, how the crispy banana chips looks.
  • Finally the tasty and crispy banana chips are ready to serve.
